Update Samsung Galaxy E7 to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop E700HXXU1BOJ7

Happy news for Galaxy E7 users. Samsung India has rolled out a new update for the galaxy E7 users in the country. The company has launched the official Android 5.1 Lollipop OTA Update and users can update your device with the same.

Please follow these guidelines before installing the new update on your device.

  • Please note that this update is only applicable for the Samsung galaxy E7 devices and the model number which is compatible for this device is SM E700H. To check the model number of the device, go to the settings on your phone menu and go to the about tab and you can find the device model number there.
  • Download and install the Samsung USB drivers on your device before connecting your device and updating your phone. the proper installation will make your device recognised by your PC and will give a proper connection.
  • You must also download and install the ODIN app to perform the installation of the update. The Odin3 v3.10.6 app is used to perform the update.

  • After you have installed the manual update, this will disable your root access if you have rooted your device and you will need to perform the rooting option once again. and manually updating your device also replace your custom ROM’s if you have preinstalled any.
  • If you have installed any custom ROM’s on your device, you must factory reset your device.
  • By performing a factory reset, it will remove the custom ROM and enable the Android 5.1 official ROM to run in boot mode.
  • You must also know that factory resetting your device will only remove the system files in your device and it will not remove any user files in the device.

  • If you haven’t done any custom ROMS of any rooting and if your device is running on the stock android you can perform the update straight away.
  • Please make sure that your device has more than 50 % of battery before performing the update because the battery is compulsory to perform a clean update.

How to install Android 5.1.1 E700HXXU1BOJ7 Lollipop Update for Samsung Galaxy E7 E700H

  1. Download the latest update into your PC. you can Download E700HXXU1BOJ7 Android 5.1.1 firmware from here. 
  2. Extract the downloaded archive files into your system. after extracting the file, you will get a E700HXXU1BOJ7 tar.md5 file and don’t extract any more
  3. Download the latest Odin3 v3.10.6 zip from here.
  4. Turn off your Samsung Galaxy E7
  5. Enter into the download mode in your device, you can enter into the download mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power buttons.
  6. Open the Odin3 v3.10.6 exe in your system.
