Update Galaxy Note 4 N910F with Android 5.1.1 N910FXXU1COJ3 Security Update

Install Android 5.1.1 N910FXXU1COJ3 Security Update in Note 4

By using this update, the user can experience new security updates in the phone and fix this update will also be fixing the Galaxy Note 4 N910F StageFright security bugs. The updates will be soon arriving in your region by over the air. If you don’t want to wait for it till the OTA, you can manually update your device with the update.   • Please use this update only with the International model of Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Model number SM – N910F.
  • Install the USB drivers on your PC before the upgrade process.
  • Install latest ODIN in your PC
  • Please disable any antivirus programs or the Samsung Kies app before performing the update.
  • Enable the USB developer options in your device. This option might be hidden in the setting, to make it visible tap the build number 7 times. The developers options will be now shown in the settings – developer options – USB debugging
  • you can overwrite if you have any custom recovery installed on your device. But make sure that you perform a factory reset after the installation process is finished.
  • Please make sure that the device has more than 50 % charge before doing the task.

Install Android 5.1.1 N910FXXU1COJ3 Lollipop OTA Update for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 N910F

  1. Download the latest Android 5.1.1 N910FXXU1COJ3 Update a security update file to your PC from here.
  2. Extract the files that you have downloaded to your PC and you will get a N910FXXU1COJ3 tar.md5 file. Stop extracting, place it on the desktop.
  3. Download Odin3 v3.10.6 and install it in the PC
  4. Shut down the phone and boot your device into the download mode.
  5. To enter into the Download mode, you can do it by press and hold the volume down, home and power buttons together for a few seconds.
  6. Open Odin in your PC, connect your smartphone to the PC, Odin will detect the device. If not try to reinstall the USB device drivers and connect again.
  7. Once connected, disable the Re-Partition option in Odin and try not to change any other default options in the device.
  8. Hit the AP option in Odin and this step will ask you to select the update file that you want to install.
  9. Select the extracted N910FXXU1COJ3 tar.md5 file in Odin.
  10. Start the installation by clicking the start button and once the installation is done, Odin will show a PASS sign.
  11. Disconnect the phone from the PC and the phone will boot. Please note that the first boot will take more than 10 minutes and be patient and don’t press any buttons.

  • Power off the device
  • Boot the device in recovery mode
  • select ‘wipe data/ factory reset’.
