How to Update Nexus 7 with Dirty Unicorns ROM v9.3 Android 5.0.2 Lollipop

The Dirty Unicorns ROM v9.3 consists of the customized material design, battery and lock screen. Follow the below steps to grab the update and enjoy its features on your device.

Pre Requisites:

  1. Give a backup for all the important data stored on your device data.
  2. Make sure your device have at least 60% battery power.
  3. You should have USB Driver Installed for Nexus 7 in your PC.
  4. Your device has latest CWM recovery or TWRP recovery installed.

Steps to install Android 5.0.2 Lollipop on Nexus 7 with Dirty Unicorns ROM v9.3:

Step-1: Download the Dirty Unicorns ROM files for Nexus 7 on your PC.

Step-2: With the help of a USB cord, connect your Smartphone with PC. Move all the above downloaded files to the device’s internal memory storage folder.

Step-3:  Switch off the device once after unplugging the USB cord.

Step-4: Go directly to the recovery mode. Click Volume Down and Power buttons together and hold them for a few seconds.

Step-5: Create a backup of a Nandroid in the TWRP recovery.

Step-6: Carry on further with the factory reset. Select Wipe and swipe on Swipe to factory reset option.

Step-7: Flash all the above files. Navigate to install option and select the location where you have saved the Dirty Unicorn ROM.

Step-8:  Choose Swipe to confirm flash option available at the bottom of the screen.

Step-9: Once the installation process is completed, reboot your device. Wait until your Nexus 7 boots on the new Dirty Unicorns ROM completely. It may take time for the completion of proper booting process.

After the rebooting process, you can start using your Nexus 7 running on Dirty Unicorns ROM v9.2 running on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
