How to install TWRP recovery Image on Samsung Galaxy Note 5

Everyone knows that Samsung Note 5 is a decent smartphone that runs on Android OS. This is one of the great devices from Samsung and this device packs with great hardware features to impress anyone. But to get the most out of this smartphone, you will need to have the root access. Today we are going to discuss on how to install the TWRP recovery on Samsung Galaxy Note 5. By installing this, you can enter the recovery mode of the device and by performing this process you can also ROOT your Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

If you want to install a custom ROM on your device then installing a custom ROM recovery image is a must. You can make Nandroid backup of your phone ( which will allow you to revert into the old ROM ), and you can perform a system wipe using the recovery mode. To install a custom ROM on your device, a custom ROM like TWRP is a must. If you want to install TWRP recovery on your Samsung Galaxy Note 5, then follow the steps given below to install it.

Note: please note that by following this steps you can only install the custom recovery image in selected models of the Galaxy Note 5. the models that can apply this tutorial is N920T and N920P.

Pre Requisites

Please make sure that your Galaxy Note 5 has enough charge in your device to complete the process. Your smartphone should at least have 70% of charge.

To be on the safer side, please make sure that you have backup your complete data on the phone including personal information. You can use a backup and restore app to finish this process.

Download and Install the drivers for your device in your PC before you start the process.

Enable USB debugging of your phone. You can find this option in your phone’s settings > About phone and tap on the build number for several times and this process will unhide the developers option. You can find this in settings > developers option > USB debugging.

You should also have Root access to your Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

Steps to install TWRP recovery on Samsung Galaxy Note 5

By following the steps given below, you can learn how to Install a custom recovery image TWRP in your Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

Download a TWRP recovery image for your device. You can download the file from here

First boot your Samsung Galaxy Note five into download mode. You can enter into download mode by switching off your device and then press the volume down + home + power button on your device. Your device will enter into the download mode.

This will lead into displaying a yellow triangle in your device, press volume up to enter into download mode.

Download a latest Odin software on your PC and install in your system.

Install all the device drivers in your system before connecting.

Connect your Galaxy Note 5 into the system and after connecting it, In the Odin it will show a message saying Connected. if not reinstall the USB drivers and redo the same steps.

One your device is connected in Odin, go to AP option in Odin and select the file that you have downloaded earlier. Also check the mark reset time in the options.

After loading the file and selecting F reset time then start the flashing process.

After the process, Odin will show a PASS notification.
