How to Install Android 6.0 Official CM 13 Nightlies on HTC One M8

Happy news for HTC one m8 users, the Official CM 13 Nightlies ROM is available for the HTC one M8 user. Users can now update their device with this ROM by following the steps given below. By installing this ROM in your smartphone, you can enjoy the stock Android 6.0 features along with the CyanogenMod features.

Please note that you can easily Install Android 6.0 Official CM 13 Nightlies on HTC One M8, and please note that this not yet a stable version of the ROM and will be containing bugs, but the team will be soon releasing updates with the fix. You can even revert into the old ROM by making a Nandroid Backup.

How to Update into CM 13 Android 6.0 Nightly ROM for HTC One M8

  1. Download the firmware file from the cyanogen official website to your PC
  2. Download a compatible Google apps package and save it on your computer.
  3. Connect your smartphone using a USB cable and copy the download files into the smartphone.
  4. Dont extract the contents, copy the files into the smartphone and disconnect the smartphone and switch it off.
  5. Reboot your device into the custom recovery menu by using the custom recovery image that you have already installed.
  6. Make sure you have made a Nandroid backup of your device, this ensures easy reverting of your smartphones old ROM without much hassle. You can perform this in the ‘backup and restore’ or Backup option from the recovery menu.
  7. performa factory reset or system wipe by entering into the recovery menu and selecting the option ‘wipe data/ factory reset’ or ‘wipe.’
  8. Install the new ROM by going to the install option in the recovery menu and selecting the firmware file that you have copied into the device.
  9. Perform the same with the Google Apps file.
  10. Reboot after the process is finished, go to recovery menu > reboot
